LONG GRIND

The Long GRIND (35 miles) mountain bike race course utilizes the most scenic and challenging terrain in Minnesota’s Iron Range.  Expect extremely tough climbs, fast descents, varied terrain with rocks, roots, creeks, & plenty of passing opportunities.  The first third of the course sets up with short but steep punchy climbs on some of the most beautiful cross country ski trails in the state. The middle section speeds up on fast gravel roads and snowmobile/ATV trails .  The last third will take everything you have to push through several punishing climbs right to the finish.  The Long GRIND will test even the strongest riders. Awards provided by Wolftooth Components - Top 3 Overall Male, Top 3 Overall Female, Top 3 in Age Groups 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50+, Top 3 Single Speed Male, Top 3 Single Speed Female, Top 3 Fat Bike Male, Top 3 Fat bike Female, Top Tandem.

SHORT GRIND

The Short GRIND (18 miles) mountain bike course shares the first 17 miles of the Long GRIND course.  This race will test your skills as you wind through cross country trails, snowmobile/ATV trails, and rugged mining roads.  Whether you’re a first timer, a weekend warrior, or a pro racer, you can count on having an amazing experience.  The Short GRIND is a super fun and fast race.  Awards provided by Wolftooth Components - Top 3 Overall Male, Top 3 Overall Female, Top 3 in Age Groups 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50+, Top 3 Single Speed Male, Top 3 Single Speed Female, Top 3 Fat Bike Male, Top 3 Fat bike Female, Top Tandem.

NIGHT CX

Cyclocross race under the lights is a 30 or 45 minute race Saturday evening.  The course will be incorporating the ski runs, double track, and whatever else we happen to find on the resort. There will be a mix of obstacles and trail set-ups to ensure no one bike has any advantage over other.  Any type of bicycle is welcome, but a MTB or CX bike will do best.  This is a great race to try the sport as a beginner or an early pre season race for the upcoming season.  Hand ups and heckling are strongly encouraged.  Awards - PRIDE
